For Maha’s Shane Delia, coming from a large Maltese family means dining is more than a meal, it is a way of life. The Delia family crest ‘fortis et hospitalis’ or ‘strength in hospitality’, originates from his ancestors’ dedication to celebrating a loving community of friends and family, which Shane has passionately continued at Maha.
We offer an extensive Australian and international wine list, compiled after thorough research (and drinking!) by our sommeliers. From the well known, to the boutique, from the Bekaa valley in Lebanon and Galilee in Israel to the old world wines of France and Italy; our wine list is ever evolving as we strive to bring you the best wines to complement Maha’s cuisine. The full dining experience involves more than just wine. Arak or raki is traditionally drunk with mezze. An anise flavoured Middle Eastern spirit, often referred to as ‘lion’s milk’, not only because it turns cloudy when water is added, but because it takes the heart of a lion to drink it. Maha has a broad range of arak and raki to discover and enjoy.
Our cocktail list is inspired and unique, show casing Middle Eastern liqueurs in a delight for the senses. Enquire about our cocktail of the week as our bar manager works her magic with the exotic ingredients Maha has to offer.
What better way to finish your Maha experience than with a dark sweet Turkish coffee or our house blend of Moroccan mint tea whilst smoking a shi sha in our relaxing courtyard.
