Toufics Garden Fathers Day *

Maha's father’s day cooking class is all about DAD. Teaching dad to cook simple things on the BBQ and to avoid the burnt sausages and tough steaks. Shane is going to give you basic cooking techniques to wow the family. So bring dad along for this amazing class matched with beers. Enjoy three courses matched with beers from the Burleigh Brewing Co.

Join Shane and major sponsor Siemens, as he takes you through the fundamentals of “Maha cooking”, and dishes inspired by Shane’s family. Also supported by Sanpellegrino, All Clad and Bas Foods, the afternoon promises to be memorable.

Maltese Independence Day *

Join the Delia family as they celebrate Maltese Independence Day with a menu designed to take you on a journey of flavours and special memories. Hear the stories behind the dishes and the inspiration for lives spent in kitchens.   
 
Share the food from Shane’s childhood that inspired him to dedicate his life to the hospitality industry. Discover secret recipes from his grandfather Nenu and favourites from his parents and countless aunties' kitchens.  Accompanied by Shane’s contemporary Maltese cuisine, this will be a menu straight from the heart.  

The flavours will be enhanced with a fabulous selection of Maltese wines and beverages selected by sommelier Darcy Curnow, enjoyed in the sumptuous décor of Melbourne’s premier Maltese restaurant.

September Sunday openings

Maha will be opening Sundays from 5th September, extending our opening hours to 7 days a week.

Each Sunday lunch will be a celebration to be shared with the loved ones in your life with Familija Tieghi – food, culture, music and friends! A chance to share some Maha favourites and seasonal dishes showcasing our finest local produce, Familija Tieghi is a cultural experience for the senses!

Our full a la carte menu will be available from 6pm in the restaurant and in the bar you can sample one of our fabulous cocktails.

Reservations are recommended in the restaurant, but drop into the bar at any time for some mezze and a cocktail.

Familija Tieghi *

Now a much loved tradition at Maha, our monthly Familija Tieghi lunch returns on Sunday 29th August 2010. This special lunch is held on the last Sunday of each month.

Familija Tieghi, translating to ‘my family’, is a celebration of the good things in life – a feast of food and wine shared with family and friends. Enjoy a special 4 course soufra for $65 per person (children 5 to 12 years $40) and relax to the exotic sounds of our Middle Eastern musicians.
