Maha is one of Melbourne's most enticing venues, devoted to providing Melburnians with a fresh Mediterranean approach to Middle Eastern cuisine.

Blending his classical training and his passion for honest, fresh and innovative Middle Eastern cuisine, Shane's “Maha cooking” excites diners and welcomes them in the warm manner a gracious Arabic host would. Maha is Shane's first restaurant, opened in February 2008 and named after his Lebanese-Australian wife, whose family's love of food matches that of Shane's own.

Located at 21 Bond St, a laneway just off Flinders St, Maha is perfectly positioned in a quiet street still in the heart of Melbourne's busy CBD. Our sub-level basement venue is a mystical Middle Eastern oasis of three individual but complementing areas, including an open air courtyard where shi sha pipes can be enjoyed.

Maha can be used for a variety of function purposes and our management team pride themselves on an ability to tailor packages to suit individual requirements and ensuring that every function is a memorable occasion.

Our private dining room offers a completely intimate and indulgent experience. With personal waiters and individually created menus, it offers a perfect space for groups of up to 20 people and is equally suited to business presentations and private discussions, as well as small personal celebrations.

We can comfortably accommodate up to 110 seated guests or a maximum of 220 people for a stand up cocktail function. Our extensive Australian and international wine list can be tailored to create individual beverage packages to suit the needs of you and your guests.
